Other information
The manifestation "Grožđebal” has a long tradition and it attracts a large number of visitors and vine fans. It is held each year in the third week in Septembre.
The mascot of the “vintage” is: Vinko Lozić (a vine inspired character), created by our famous play writer Sterija. Vinko Lozić is the primary figure and in charge of the three-day parade and festivities because on the opening ceremony, the mayor hands him over the keys of the town which are returned at the occasion of festival closing.
The event’s standing program includes various entertainments such as a game of chance called “Grapes from the Airplane”, a wine and fruit exhibition, a cycling caravan called Visiting the Vineyards, a carnival procession, a masked ball for the children and a very diverse cultural, artistic and entertainment program as well as a series of accompanying sports events… The most interesting competition is "Meter long wine drinking".
