Divčibare is one of the most attractive winter and summer destinations in Serbia. It is located in western part of Serbia on the mountain Maljen, on the plateau 7 km long and 3 km wide. Slopes of Divčibare are covered with snow four months through the year. The nearest city is Valjevo, 38 km far away from Divčibare which extends from Crni vrh, Paljba, Golubac to Veliko brdo. It is 980m above sea level, and its highest peak is 1.095 m high.

 

 

 

Divčibare is an air spa. It is healthy for those who have problem with bronchitis, asthma, anemia and problems with autonomic nervous system. It is rich in flora and fauna. Picking flowers and wild fruits is one of the main activities.
Miloš Obrenović used to come on Divčibare to relax. It is near Belgrade and it is very popular among inhabitants of Belgrade. Four protected woods and Crna reka canyon are popular, beautiful and healthy attractions, and the Skakalo waterfall on the river Manastirica is very interesting. This waterfall is the second by size in Serbia (20 m). Nature reserves, besides Skakalo, in this region are: Old woods on the Velika pleća peak and Vražji vir waterfall on the river Crna kamenica.


The biggest number of visitors comes in winter. On Maljen there are ski and other winter sports tracks long between 300 and 800m.
There are sport terrains, a tennis court and a mini-golf terrain, as well as many walking lanes and fitness places.


The longest ski track in Divčibare is 800m long and it is located on the slope of Crni vrh. The track is lightened and has ski lift, 600 m long, with the height difference of 100 m.
There are also three smaller ski paths, 300 m long. Near “Mladost” resort there is ski lift for the kids.
The whole territory of Divčibare is suitable for ski running.


Divčibare is 38 km far away from Valjevo, 110 km from Belgrade and 175 km from Novi Sad. If you are travelling by car you can use roads:


From Belgrade - Ibarska magistrala through Divac and Mionica - 117 km
From Belgrade- Ibarska magistrala through Valjevo Kaone - 128 km
From Novi Sad - Šabac road through Valjevo - kaone - 177 km
From Užice through Požega and Tometino polje - 64 km
From Čačak through Ljig and Mionica - 133 km
