Mokra Gora

Wooden church Vitaši is located in the ethno village Mećavnik on Mokra Gora. This small orthodox church with wooden bell-tower is dedicated to the first Serbian Archbishop and sage Saint Sava. Above the entrance to the church there is striking mosaic fresco of Saint Sava.

 

It was constructed following models of Russian wooden churches. Above the entrance to the church there is striking mosaic fresco of Saint Sava.

 

The founders of this small church built in the central spot of Wooden town are Maja and Emir Kusturica.
