The monastery Rukumija in Bradarc is situated 10 km from Požarevac. This monastery is most probably founded by Prince Lazar and it is connected to cult of sister Jelica

According to legend, it is one of the three monasteries (except Bradač and Zaove) which were built on the sites where hand, chin, and body of tortured girl Jelica fell. She was torn apart by the horses of brothers Radić, since they believed her sister in law that she had killed her baby in the cradle.

It is not known for certain when it was built but supposedly it was in 14th century. It was destroyed on several occasions and in 1825 was restored for the first time by Prince Miloš Obrenović.

The moanstery has two fountains with mineral water by the name Reduša and Jerinac. In the past lots of people visited them an according to the tradition they were built on the spot where jelica’s eyes fell.
