Veliki Buk - foto: D.Bosnić

Veliko Vrelo belongs to the small group of powerful springs of Kraska. It represents a remarkable example of gravitational springs. Veliki buk is a unique phenomenon among the accumulative tufa waterfalls of Serbia, and is the biggest waterfall in Serbia. Its height is over 20 meters, and its beauty and magnificence leaves a viewer without a word.

Water eventually made a deep vertical side amphitheater in tufa deposits, and large blocks of tufa cover its bottom. Under the main water stream is pond severalmeters in depth.
