Stopića pećina (Stopića Cave) is situated on the north-eastern side of Zlatibor, between the villages Rožanstvo and Trnava. It is 19 km away from Zlatibor, 30 km from Užice and 250 km from Belgrade.


This is a waterway cave. It consists of three hydrological and speleological horizons: periodically flooded horizon, waterway horizon and cracks horizon.


Stopića Cave

The climate in the cave is under the influence of the outside climate. First record of the cave dates back to 1901.


The cave consists of 5 units: The light hall, the dark hall, a large hall with tubs, waterway tube and tube with tubs. The cave is famous for its tufa tubs, which were formed by deposition of limestone.
